7 months

Lillian,

You are now officially 7 months old! You are SUCH a perfect little girl for your dad and me. You are so pleasant to be around, especially when you get your naps!

This past month, you've really started to get the hang of you sippy cup. You will grab it with both hands (or one, if you are feeling especially lazy), and bring it to your mouth. You will even tip it back and suck on it! Before you just let the water run out. Now, I don't even have to put a bib on you for you to drink from it.

You've also started to show signs that crawling is near! You have been able to put yourself into the crawling position for a while now, but now you rock like crazy. This past week you've started moving you arms or your legs like you are crawling... but never at the same time. I'm sure you'll be doing it soon, though!

I'm thinking of starting to wean you from nursing. However, every time I think of it, I just want to cry. It is such a big girl thing to do -- drinking from a bottle. You're used to it, but it seems so much more mature when it is formula! Right now, I'm giving you one bottle of formula a day. Last night you got it right before bed and slept like a champ!

Speaking of sleeping.... Lately you have not wanted to sleep as well as you used to. I think you are ready to have less naps, but I'm not for sure (seeing as how you are napping right now when I thought you wouldn't!). You get up more often during the night, until last night, anyway. You may have just been going through a change in your schedule. I let you do whatever, whenever for a couple of days, hoping you would adjust yourself. Maybe you have!

You love to play with your toys and in your jumper-roo. You are super good at jumping now! However, you won't stay in it for too long.

You really are starting to recognize your daddy. When he gets home from work, we wait by the back door with the puppies. When you see him, you usually start to flail around like a crazy girl. You will look at me and smile super big, like, "MOM! DO YOU SEE WHO'S HOME?!?!?" I love it!

Center of attention -- that's you! You are really starting to be a card. You notice when people laugh at you and so you will repeat whatever you were doing. Lately it's been saying "blah blah blah" while sticking out your tongue and shaking your head "no" super hard over and over again. You've even gotten to the point that you will do something and look to see who is looking!

You are so much fun. Daddy and I love you soooo much!! We couldn't have asked for a better baby.
